• Checked account balance on-line and confirmed deposit of stimulus check.  Paid off one of two credit cards since our 0% interest rate was about to lapse.
  • Had long talk with DH about gas prices and how the f*ck we’re going to continue putting gas in the car when he starts his 80 miles per day commute.
  • Thought about a motorcycle – got scared to death.
  • Decided the boys and I will be chained to the house, using only a single tank of gas per month, meaning we’d have to double our fuel economy.  Took a deep breath.
  • Noticed while coming home from the bank that gas prices rose from $3.45 yesterday to $3.55 today at the same station…
  • Had minor heart attack
  • Decided to skip trip to other bank to deposit doula earnings and hold on to them for gas.
  • Came home and made lunch.
  • Thought about how damn much the bread and bananas went up since last grocery trip.
  • Paid bills on-line and sent another notice to the post office regarding our carrier’s refusal to take mail out from our mailbox.
  • Flinched when I looked at balance of other credit card while still on-line and trying to make the most of a moment alone while boys slowly ate, since I wolfed down my grilled cheese.
  • Decided to buy card for friend who just found out she’s expecting her third child.
  • Cried.
  • Collected myself.
  • Blogged.
  • Will now go clean children and spend time playing with them, trying not to think about gas prices and other such nonsense.
